Due to the efforts of the Fisheries Division of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission since 1956 the lakes around Hot Springs have produce some of the finest Striped Bass Fishing anywhere in the World.

Striped bass in the 30 - 40 pound range are frequent with 50 and 60 pound catches reported from time to time.

In the Hot Springs area you also have access to fantastic black bass, crappie, bream and cat fishing as well as some of the best trout areas below the dams in the state.

Hot Springs National Park was the first federally protected area in United States history. Natural Thermal Hot Springs bubble out of the ground at 147°.  

Nearby Lake DeGray is managed by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission as a World Class Striped Bass Hybrid Lake.
