Larger Stripers eat about 5% of their body
weight per day. Striped Bass have feeding periods like most other fish. They
feed most actively at dusk and dawn, although some feeding occurs throughout the
day. During the midsummer they tend to become more nocturnal.
The natural foods of the Striped Bass include a variety of zooplankton, insects,
crustaceans, and fish.
