For a better chance to catch a Trophy Striped Bass (25+ pounds) November thru early May is better, April being prime time.
For larger Numbers of Fish June thru October.

Of course Large trophies and large numbers can happen at any time. The winter months can be very good.
On a Mid December trip 12 stripers were caught all on top water weighing over 360 pounds.

On a Hot July Afternoon six stripers in the 40 to 48 pound range were caught, all on Top Water lures, you just never know.
