Until you have cast a topwater plug into Striped Bass
in a surface feeding.... tail spacking frenzy..... you, my friend, have not fished.
!!!
Caution !!!
!!! Caution !!!
Casting a topwater lure
into the middle of a school of feeding stripers
in a water boiling feeding frenzy,
will
make your knees weak and heart race. It can make
grown men sit down in the middle of the boat
and hide their rods to rest.
!!!
Caution !!!
!!! Caution !!!
You will have to learn to repeat over and over in your head
"keep it moving - don't set the hook 'till you feel the fish" as water flies and boils in a ten foot
area around your lure as Stripers tail spack the lure launching the bait
3 feet into the air while surrounding your bait like
Sitting Bull at Little Big Horn.
Stripers want to cripple or kill the bait prior to coming
back to inundate it.
Many anglers have fallen for the tail swipe and set the hook
prematurely on a memory of a lifetime that was seconds away from swallowing the topwater
lure.
