Striped Bass Research on the Arkansas River


Sixteen Striped Bass from the Arkansas River were tagged with radio telemetry capsules by the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation. 

The purpose of the study was to understand the spawning migration patterns, which types of habitat and water conditions they prefer, as well as year-round travel by Striped Bass.

This Slide Show Link that showed how the Oklahoma biologists tagged and released the striped bass for the study no longer works.

The 16 striped bass were given individual tag numbers.

Here is the link to all sixteen tagged Striped Bass. This link was removed by the  Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation Dept.
